Crow Maiden: A Staged Reading of an Animated Film Screenplay

Crow Maiden tells the magical Southern Gothic story of 13-year-old Anna. Haunted by her mother’s death and suspicious of her father’s involvement, she must confront corrupt adults with an unusual crow as her witness and guide. The reading will feature live voice performances accompanied by projected images. Featured actors include Bonita Elery, Caisey Cole, Lance G. Newman II, Julia Estrada, Devin McCarthy, Marshall Kaelin. The performance will be followed by a moderated conversation with the artists and audience. While all ages are welcome, parents should be aware that the story contains coarse language and references to drug addiction. Doors: 6:30pm
